Subaru Forester Sport: When you buy a new car, you expect every day to bring a new driving adventure. We drove our Subaru Forester Sport for the first 10,000 miles and found it to be a simple, yet comfortable and reliable experience. Daily commutes, minor errors, and the daily commute to and from work made this car a reliable companion. We experienced no technical issues, major problems, or service hassles, and that’s the only positive aspect we noticed.
Forester Sport Driving Experience

Operating the Subaru Forester Sport is simple and intuitive. Whether it’s a long drive or a daily office commute, you don’t have to think too much while driving. Senior Features Editor Greg Fink said, “The Forester is a great car if you haven’t driven anything else,” while other staff members praised its open and airy cockpit. The shift lever and physical buttons on the dashboard also feel very natural and comfortable.
Technical Issues: Infotainment and Driver Assist
Although the Forester Sport offers many good things, its 11.6-inch center touchscreen is somewhat disappointing. The system’s response is slow, and the phone mirroring connection often hangs. In 2025, such a slow infotainment experience is unacceptable. Furthermore, the EyeSight driver-assist system constantly beeps if you stray even slightly from your lane. This constant warning sometimes makes the driving experience a bit annoying.
A Comfortable Companion in Everyday Use

Electronics aside, the Forester’s operation is quite intuitive. “If you drive for three hours or more and don’t have to think about the vehicle, it’s truly a great experience,” said production assistant Andrew Berry. This means the Subaru Forester Sport proves to be a reliable and comfortable companion in everyday life.
The Subaru Forester Sport is a car that offers comfort, confidence, and a smooth driving experience. Technical issues and some aggressive warning systems make it less than perfect, but it’s still a reliable and easy choice for everyday driving.
