Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi: The happiness on the faces of Rajasthan’s farmers and the increase in their coffers this is a scene currently visible across the state. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at a state-level function held in Nadbai, Bharatpur district, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma directly transferred ₹718 crore to the accounts of approximately 7.2 million farmers under the fourth installment of the Chief Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the term “Annadata” is not just a name, but a symbol of the prestige and respect of farmers in our society. Only when farmers are prosperous will the prosperity of the state and the country be ensured.
Increased financial assistance makes farmers’ lives easier

Under the Chief Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers now receive an additional ₹3,000 from the state government in addition to the annual assistance of ₹6,000 from the central government. Thus, each farmer will now receive a total of ₹9,000 in financial assistance each year. The State Minister for Cooperation and Civil Aviation stated that since the implementation of the scheme, over 7 million farmers have been provided with funds totaling over ₹1,355 crore.
This amount is being transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts through a transparent Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. The objective is to ensure that every beneficiary receives this assistance on time and without any interruptions.
The Government’s Vision to Describe Farmers as Nation Builders
At the event, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma described farmers as nation builders and the soul of India. He said that the food that comes to our plates is the result of farmers’ hard work and dedication. The double-engine government is working day and night for the welfare of farmers. He also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana’, saying that in the last one and a half years, farmers in Rajasthan have received over ₹7,031 crore under this scheme.

At the event, the Chief Minister also mentioned the “Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana,” describing it as a symbol of the Prime Minister’s vision for agriculture. Under this scheme, eight districts of Rajasthan—Barmer, Jaisalmer, Nagaur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Pali, Jalore, and Churu—have been included among the 100 districts across the country. This move opens new possibilities and avenues of development for Rajasthan’s farmers.
The Chief Minister concluded by stating that the prosperity of farmers is the foundation of the state’s prosperity. The government will continue to provide all possible support to them so they can become self-reliant and improve their lives.
