The biggest question among women beneficiaries of the Ladki Bahin Yojana these days is when the instalments for December and January will finally be credited to their accounts. Many women are worried because they haven’t received the amount for these two months yet.
While no official date has been announced by the government, reports suggest new information regarding the instalment payment, which may offer some relief to the women.
₹3000 may be received together on January 14th

According to reports, during a recent election campaign, BJP candidate Tejasvi Ghosalkar claimed that the installments for both December and January might be sent together to the bank accounts of eligible women on January 14th (Makar Sankranti).
If this happens, beneficiaries will receive a total of ₹3000. However, this claim has not yet been officially confirmed by the government or the department.
Delay possible due to the Model Code of Conduct
According to officials associated with the Women and Child Development Department, municipal elections are scheduled in Maharashtra on January 15th. Therefore, the Model Code of Conduct is currently in effect.
The implementation of the Model Code of Conduct may cause a delay in releasing the new funds. This is why the instalment has not been received on time. It is expected that the payment process will be expedited after the elections are over.
Instalments may be withheld for these women
Many women have still not completed the e-KYC process related to the scheme. In such cases, the instalment may be withheld.
- e-KYC deadline: December 31, 2025
- The deadline has not been extended.
- The e-KYC option is also no longer available on the website.
Women whose e-KYC is incomplete may face difficulties in receiving payments for now.
When was the Ladki Bahin Yojana launched?

The Maharashtra government launched the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana in June 2024. The objective of this scheme is to empower women financially.
Under this scheme, eligible women receive an amount of ₹1500 every month directly into their bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
