ICICI Bank Donation: Amidst the joyous celebration of Diwali, a significant and emotional news has arrived. This year, ICICI Bank has brought not only light but also hope to the nation. ICICI Bank, the country’s second-largest private bank, is now bringing light to the lives of cancer patients. The bank has announced a donation of ₹625 crore, which will be used to construct a modern, 11-story building at the Tata Memorial Centre in Navi Mumbai.
A Modern Cancer Care Center to be Built in Navi Mumbai

This new building, to be constructed within the Tata Memorial Centre campus, will span 3.4 lakh square feet. It will house 12 modern linear accelerators (LINACs), which will deliver precise radiation to cancer cells. These machines will enable cancer treatment without harming surrounding healthy tissue.
ICICI Bank stated that this project is part of its announced contribution of ₹1,800 crore for the construction of three cancer care facilities across the country. This new facility will be ready by 2027 and will provide radiation therapy to approximately 7,200 patients annually.
A New Light of Hope for Cancer Patients
Several senior officials, including Bank Chairman Pradeep Kumar Sinha, Executive Directors Sandeep Batra and Ajay Gupta, were present at the groundbreaking ceremony and foundation stone laying ceremony. Sudeep Gupta, Director of the Tata Memorial Centre, said that this new facility will strengthen the fight against cancer in the country and bring hope to thousands of families.
An Example of ICICI Bank Social Initiative
This initiative is a shining example of ICICI Bank’s social responsibility and sensitivity. The bank has long contributed to the areas of education, health, and rural development, but this initiative is special because it directly connects to saving lives.

This Diwali, when every home will light a lamp, this contribution from ICICI Bank will also bring a new light to the lives of thousands of cancer patients.
