Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana: In Bihar, the goal of women’s economic empowerment is now coming true. In order to equip women with self-reliance, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched the Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana during his first term in office. One lady from each family will get ₹10,000 in financial aid under this program. The first installment, which will be launched on Monday, September 22nd, will be deposited into the bank accounts of almost 5 million women in the state.
Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana: State-Level Initiatives and Involvement
To commemorate the introduction of this initiative, a state-level event was planned. District Magistrates have been instructed by Lokesh Kumar Singh, secretary of the Rural Development Department, to mark the occasion as a festival at the union and village organization levels at the cluster level.
The District Magistrate will preside over district-level events in all 38 district headquarters, which will be attended by women from at least 1,000 SHGs and public representatives. The Block Development Officer will preside over 534 block headquarters, where 500 women will take part. Additionally, live programs will be hosted at the 70,000 village organization and 1,680 cluster levels.
Eligibility for the Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana and the Application Procedure
Families with a husband, wife, and their unmarried children will benefit from the program. Adult women who are single and whose parents are deceased are also qualified. Beneficiaries must be between the ages of 18 and 60 and cannot be government employees or income tax payers. While women in urban areas can apply online at www.brlps.in, women affiliated with SHGs in rural areas will apply through their village organization. It is not necessary for urban women who are already members of SHGs to apply again. In addition to gaining economic empowerment, this program will significantly advance Bihar women’s independence and self-employment.
