Bihar CM Women Employment Scheme: Self-reliance is the greatest strength in life, and when women are economically empowered, not only do their lives change, but the family and society as a whole are also stronger. The Bihar CM Women Employment Scheme was introduced by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to pursue this goal. For women in Bihar, this program may open up new job prospects.
Women will directly benefit from the program
Women will first receive ₹10,000 in funding under this program to help launch their own enterprises. Depending on their work and business situation, they will thereafter be eligible for additional assistance of up to ₹2 lakh. Not all women will, however, be eligible for this benefit right away; some qualifying procedures will be needed.
As per the standards set forth by the Rural Development Department, this program is exclusively available to women who are affiliated with Jeevika Self-Help Groups (SHGs). There will be no further steps required for women who are currently members to take advantage of this program. Women who are not yet affiliated with Jeevika must first apply for membership and complete the required paperwork.
What are the advantages for women who are not currently enrolled in Jeevika?
For women who are not currently enrolled in Jeevika, the government has made two forms available. The first form will be for joining Jeevika and will require a passport-size photo, affidavit, Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and PAN card.
The Bihar CM Women Employment Scheme will require comprehensive employment-related data on the second form. Women will be eligible to receive the benefits of the program after completing these steps.
Advantages for 27 Million Families
About 27 million families in the state will profit from this program, according to Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. At least one woman from each family should become independent and launch her own company.
When did it start
On August 29, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made the announcement on social media. It was put into effect in September after receiving cabinet approval the same day. According to the government, this effort would strengthen the family unit and provide women with a new path toward economic independence.
