The situation will be particularly special in West Bengal, where banks will be closed for six consecutive days.
Holidays for Dussehra and Diwali
Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. Banks are closed on this day in most states. Diwali also falls later this month. Banks will be closed in many states on Diwali and the following day for festivals like Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj. Customers should plan their financial transactions in advance during this series of festivals.
State-wise Bank Holidays
Bank services will be closed for six consecutive days in West Bengal from Saptami to Dashami. Maharashtra and Gujarat will have holidays for both Dussehra and Diwali. Uttar Pradesh and Bihar will also observe a bank holiday for Durga Puja, Dussehra, and Diwali. In South India, there will be holidays for both Dussehra and Diwali, which will also limit bank services.
