This system produces a total of 134 horsepower 94 HP from the petrol engine and 40 HP from the electric motor. Most importantly, the company claims that this new system will improve fuel efficiency by 10 to 20 percent.
This engine can also be paired with a turbocharger, further enhancing its performance. Furthermore, future all-wheel drive (AWD) models will feature an additional electric motor on the rear axle, improving both driving experience and stability.

Toyota’s Chief Technology Officer, Hiroki Nakajima, said, “Toyota will remain an engine manufacturer until the end. We love motorsports and the smell of petrol.” This statement indicates that Toyota will advance both electric and hybrid technologies, as well as traditional engine technology, in the future.
