Jeevika Yojana: Through their perseverance and hard labor, women in Bihar have left their mark on society. At an election rally in Kateya, Gopalganj district, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar praised the Jeevika Yojana, saying it has come to represent the economic empowerment of women. According to him, the success of the program is evidenced by the 14 million women who have joined self-help groups to date.
Goals and Achievements of the Jeevika Yojana

Women’s economic empowerment and self-reliance are the goals of the Jeevika Yojana. According to the Chief Minister, women are playing a crucial role in society and improving their families’ financial circumstances under this program. He added that politicians from the national government had applauded this concept after visiting Bihar to observe it. In order to help women better their families’ lives and make a positive impact on society, this program promotes them to launch their own small companies.
Other State Government Programs’ Contribution
The Chief Minister also listed other state government initiatives, including the building of marriage halls in panchayats, the expansion of pensions for widows, the aged, and those with disabilities, as well as a ₹10,000 assistance program that would give one woman in every home a job. The state government is dedicated to empowering women through these programs. By giving one woman a job in every household and enabling them financially, the government hopes to empower women.

The chief minister added that things have improved in Bihar, which was a place of terror and chaos 20 years ago. Because of the efforts of his government, people are now able to go around freely day or night. Women in Bihar are becoming more independent and enhancing their status in society through the Jeevika Yojana and other government programs.
