Maharashtra Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare stated that ineligible beneficiaries will be identified only after a detailed investigation in all districts of the state. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, appropriate action will be taken against those found ineligible. Eligible women will continue to receive benefits uninterrupted.

The government report also noted that many beneficiaries were simultaneously availing of multiple schemes, and some families benefited more than two members. This situation clearly indicates that the scheme’s operation requires improvement and strict monitoring.
