Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Yojana: Seventh Installment Brings Relief to Farmers’ Accounts

Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Yojana: Any state’s true strength lies in the welfare of its farmers. The seventh payment of the Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Kisan Yojana, which was started with the intention of giving farmers financial stability, has been made available by the Maharashtra government. This time, 91.65 lakh farmers in the state have had a total of Rs 1892.61 crore paid straight to their bank accounts.

This program’s primary goal is to assist farmers in meeting production costs and establishing sustainable farming practices. Dattatreya Bharne, the minister of agriculture, stated that this program will boost rural economies in addition to farmers’ earnings.

A government program similar to the PM Kisan Yojana

Based on the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana of the Center, the Maharashtra government launched this program. Farmers receive ₹ 6000 in annual assistance from the state government in addition to the ₹ 6000 benefit from the Center. A farmer family so receives a total of Rs 12,000 in direct financial aid annually.

This time, the farmers received the subsidy for the April July 2025 timeframe. The farmers have received this sum as part of the seventh installment. Under this program, farmers have previously received six installments. 93.09 lakh farmers received the ₹11,130 crore sixth installment that was previously provided.

Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Agriculture Minister Dattatreya Bharne, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended the event. According to the government, providing farmers with direct financial assistance is a powerful step toward the success of farming and villages.
